Role Summary
The part-time Clinical Dietitian will be responsible for providing evidence-based care to patients in the Northeast Region. This role requires a strong background in nutrition therapy and the ability to collaborate with the healthcare team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess individual needs through synthesis of information obtained through assessment interview, food and nutrition histories, and review of medical records.
- Develop goals related to patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Document initial assessment plans for nutritional care and progress relative to same in the medical record.
- Counsel individuals, families, and caregivers on normal nutrition and therapeutic diets.
- Plan and conduct group classes for individuals in various areas of nutrition.
- Collaborate in or conduct food and nutrition research to demonstrate outcomes and develop policy recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of related work experience is required.
- Registration or eligibility to sit for registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or qualify under a reciprocity agreement with CDR in conjunction with The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
