Job Summary
In this innovative position with Geisinger's Hospital at Home youll bring healthcare to our community where they need it most right where they live. Geisinger's at-home care program helps keep patients healthier, safer and better connected to their care team.Youll work closely with primary care physicians, Geisingers team of doctors, dietitians, case managers, pharmacists, nurses and other medical support staff as you visit patients and provide care right in their homes.
Job Duties
Provides enhanced patient care under the direction of the licensed nurse, which may include but is not limited to advanced dressing care, suctioning, removal of Foley Catheter and peripheral IV.
May perform a wide variety of advanced patient care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and maintains the patient care and unit environment consistent with the policies, procedures, and practices. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range on their assigned clinical area.
- Hours : 7 AM- 5 : 30 PM - 10-hour shifts- 4 Days a week
- Weekends : Up to every other weekend
- Holidays : Up to every other holiday
- Travel : Yes, this position supports patients in their homes. Visits in Luzerne and Lackawanna Counties. Will be able to use company fleet vehicle stationed in Pittston
- Education : High School Diploma or GED is required
