Summary:
This role provides essential support to the care team by performing a wide range of clerical duties and direct patient care activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing patient care as directed by the licensed nurse, maintaining patient records, and communicating effectively with the care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides patient care as directed by the licensed nurse, within the nursing assistant scope of practice.
- Identifies, observes, and documents the physical needs of patients according to established standards.
- Obtains and maintains the integrity of specimens in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living and fulfills designated responsibilities for ongoing continuum of care.
- Serves as a preceptor and mentor for new staff and students in a positive manner.
