Geisinger Health System is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Dentist to join our team. Our team currently has four full time pediatric dental faculty for our residency program. The program draws patients from a wide area and treats many patients with special health care needs. Our team serves as the major trauma center for pediatric dental care in the area. The successful candidate will be able to enjoy working with residents, take advantage of the beautiful outdoor space of the Susquehanna River Valley, and enjoy a competitive salary in an area with a low cost of living
Practice details:
- Currently have four full time pediatric dental faculty for our residency program
- Geisinger draw patients from a wide area and treat many patients with special health care needs
- operating room experience
- We have a cleft palate team
- Sub specialist partners at the hospital including oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, and a general dentist
to whom we transfer patients with special health care needs as they age out of pediatric dentistry

Qualifications:
A pediatric dentist specializes in both primary and comprehensive preventive and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health care needs.
- Interviews patients to obtain information such as symptoms, medical histories, and family histories. Performs and/or interprets diagnostic tests as needed.
- Diagnose and design a plan of treatment for injuries and/or illness. May prescribe or administer medications. Prepares, maintains, and reviews records that include patients' histories, examination findings, treatment plans, or outcomes.
