Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory care needs and develop individualized treatment plans to meet those needs.
- Treatment Modalities: Perform and document routine therapeutic modalities, including aerosolized medications, secretion management techniques, pulmonary volume expansion, oxygen therapy, and artificial airway maintenance.
- Initiate and manage conventional and high-frequency mechanical ventilators according to established protocol.
- Provide age-specific patient and family education on disease management and respiratory therapy.
- Function as the Shift Coordinator (charge person) when designated, after one year of employment.
