About the Job:
A Phlebotomist II is responsible for performing a wide range of tasks to provide high-quality specimens for testing and accurate information for medical laboratories' clients.
- Perform venipunctures and skin punctures on all age groups.
- Obtain blood specimens, process specimens for analysis, and utilize computer systems to register patients and facilitate billing.
- Exhibit knowledge of adequate and correct collection requirements.
- Perform accessioning procedures accurately and recognize discrepancies as appropriate.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (American Society for Clinical Pathology, ASCP)
