Job Description
As a valued member of the Geisinger Urology team, this Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:
- Scheduling 12-hour Sunday night inpatient coverage (Sunday 7:00 p.m. – Monday 7:00 a.m.) and 3.5 clinic days during the week.
- Rotating between clinic and inpatient coverage, ensuring no OR time is required.
- Assessing and establishing presumptive diagnoses, implementing treatment plans, and making accurate entries into the electronic medical record.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, consulting as necessary, and prescribing appropriate medical therapy utilizing evidence-based practice.
- Communicating effectively with collaborating physicians, patients, PCPs, and referring staff through phone calls or correspondence.
