As a Physician Assistant at Geisinger, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting physicians in their daily practice. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing initial assessments and triage of patients based on presenting conditions.
- Gathering pertinent procedure and laboratory results, discussing with physicians, and returning calls to patients and families regarding results and plans.
- Assisting with arranging appropriate follow-up for patients.
- Answering and returning phone calls from established patients and their families, assessing their needs and relaying information to them.
- Discussing plans with physicians and relaying information to patients and families.
- Obtaining or assisting in the preauthorization process for medications, diagnostic studies, and treatments.
