What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Assistant Student - Bloomsburg - Per Diem - Rotation position at Geisinger?
- Greets patients upon arrival, aids in filling out necessary paperwork and transports patients to appropriate imaging areas.
- Answers telephone calls for area and routes call appropriately.
- Performs clerical functions as required and requested.
- Assists in patient preparation and completion of examinations.
- Observes a patient when required.
- Assists in patient positioning and lifting and transporting when needed.
- Assists in ensuring all necessary supplies are available and stocked.
- Assists technical staff with any/all duties necessary for completion of imaging studies.
- Applies principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care.
- Effectively uses Radiology Information System.
- Maintains confidentiality and an ethical relationship with all patients and medical records.
- Must be enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree medical imaging program with intention of hospital-based radiologic school enrollment when eligible.

Qualifications:
