Surgical Technologist - Operating Rooms - Rotating Shift

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Operating Rooms on rotating shifts. As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in preparing for surgery by connecting them to clinical equipment as needed.
- Practice aseptic techniques while preparing for surgery, including scrubbing, applying surgical gowns, gloving, draping, and setting up instrument tables.
- Actively participate in surgical Time-outs and operating room briefings according to the universal protocol.
- Maintain accurate accounts of supplies, including sponges, needles, and instruments.
- Maintain and document universal precautions.
- Perform billing as appropriate for services rendered or equipment used.
- Participate in on-call rotations of the operating room.
- Act as a preceptor for students assigned to the surgical unit.
- Adhere to all policies, protocols, and standards of care.
- Perform quality control monitoring.
- Perform additional duties, including specimen collection, pleure-vac, and traction setup, patient transport, and post-mortem care.
- Assure that all medications and solutions are labeled under the registered nurse's supervision.
Requirements
- Graduate from a Surgical Technologist program (Required)
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience (Preferred)
