Key Responsibilities
- Performs sonographic imaging procedures, including diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Prepares patients for exams, utilizing appropriate imaging protocols and ensuring patient safety.
- Collaborates with licensed practitioners in the performance of sonographic interventional procedures.
- Educates and monitors students and other healthcare providers.
Education and Certification
Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) as a sonographer or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification is required upon hire.
