What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foodservice Sales Intern position at Gellert Global Group?
The Gellert Global Group (GGG) is the largest privately held food importer in the U.S. Comprised of several individual companies, the GGG sources the highest quality cheese, meats, frozen fruit, shelf stable fruit, vegetables, seafood, and specialty products. These items are sourced from over 60 countries and sold to leading retailers, food service distributors, restaurant chains, and food manufacturers. As a Foodservice Sales Intern, you will participate in multiple projects under the guidance of an Area Sales Manager. This role helps support the team in achieving sales targets, building client relationships, and promoting products to restaurants, cafeterias, and other foodservice establishments.
Projects :
1. Mid Year playbook results
- Review our mid year results at the item level
- Review category growth vs. core item growth
- Identify open opportunities in regions (all)
- Support ASM with building story / deck by using market and product trends, BDM & Marketing resources
2. Good Better Best
3. Attend summer shows / broker trainings
4. Order Optimization Project - time permitting
5. Other duties as assigned
