Job Title: Transportation Coordinator

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Transportation Coordinator to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing transportation activities and ensuring smooth coordination between various stakeholders.

About the Role

This role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the outbound schedule, liaising with carriers, collaborating with the Customer Service team, and maintaining accurate records of shipping schedules and carrier communication.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule Management: Manage the outbound schedule to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods from our warehouse.
• Carrier Liaison: Act as the primary liaison between carriers and the warehouse, facilitating seamless communication and operations.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with the Customer Service team to promote accurate and timely processing of customer orders.
• Transportation Optimization: Monitor and optimize transportation schedules to meet delivery timelines and customer expectations.
• OS&D Management: Manage overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D) on customer deliveries, coordinating the appropriate disposition of products.
• Potential Issue Identification: Identify and address potential transportation issues, providing solutions to maintain operational efficiency.
• Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of shipping schedules, carrier communication, and order tracking.

Requirements:

• Shipping Knowledge: Possess a solid understanding of shipping and freight practices, including basic negotiations and order processing.
