As an Assistant Kitchen Department Manager at Gelson's, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of Gelson's kitchen department by directing our dedicated team to provide the highest standards of service to our valued customers.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
Supervise and support the kitchen department staff, ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment.Provide excellent customer service, and resourceful assistance and respond appropriately in all customer interactions.Collaborate with your team to implement effective merchandising strategies, including product displays, promotions, and signage to maximize product movement.Place and receive product orders, ensuring accuracy and proper storage of incoming merchandise.Monitor product quality, freshness, presentation, and ensure proper rotation of merchandise in accordance with store policy.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.Embrace new challenges and be a flexible team player, taking on responsibilities as needed.Other duties and responsibilities as required.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in a grocery retail setting, with at least 3 years in a kitchen operations role.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Completion of the Retail Management Certification Program is a plus.Physical requirements :
