Mechanical Designer

MECHANICAL DESIGNER

Mechanical Designer needed for a mid-size manufacturing company located in Wilmington, NC. This is a Direct Hire opportunity and the starting pay range is $26.00 per hour. Work hours are 8:00 AM until 5:30 PM (Monday through Friday). Successful candidates must have experience in Mechanical Design and SolidWorks 3D.

Job Description:

3D modeling and design of product from customer specifications and drawings using SolidWorks 3D CAD or Inventor. Generating detailed plans for customer review and fabrication.

Required Skills:

• SolidWorks or Inventor (Required)
• Sheet metal experience (a huge plus)
• Weldment experience (a plus)
• PDM experience (a plus)
• AutoCAD (a plus)
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Windows XP
• Strong verbal and written communication skill

Education & Experience:

• Experience in Mechanical Design
• Associates Degree in Drafting/Design or a related Engineering field (Required)
• Strong computer skills
• Formal training in SolidWorks 3D CAD
• Experience with Sheet Metal Designs
