What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guard 2nd Shift (7:30 pm- 7:30 am) position at GEM Freshco LLC?
GUARD POSITION SUMMARY
The Guard is responsible for allowing access to the facility and logging everyone who enters, under the direction of the Operations Manager.
Typical Work Schedule: Varies; Nights and weekends required. This position works Th-Fri-Sat and every other Sunday.
Compensation: $12/hr. Benefits, Target Annual Bonus, and Paid time off.
GUARD ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for logging all employees in and out of the facility.
- Logging all visitors who enter and exit the facility (truck, contractors, deliveries, and pickups).
- Handling forms dropped off and turned in to appropriate personnel.
- Contacting and caring for packages delivered and picked up
- Being observant and reporting suspicious activity
- Job functions may change as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Guard Experience Required:
- 0-3 years’ work experience
- Ability to fill out forms as directed
- Being observant when busy or slow
- Team building – listens and considers input from others
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
GUARD PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Physical demands: While performing duties of job, incumbent is occasionally required to stand for full shift; walk; sit; use hands to handle, grab or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work environment: A/C work area, the noise level is usually moderate to in and out of outside weather
