POSITION SUMMARY
Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for assisting in: Planning, implementing, and managing our shipping and distribution strategy. Your main duties will be: Assist in ensuring secure, accurate, timely and productive shipping processes in a sanitary and safe environment.
Schedule: Monday-Friday (7:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m)
Compensation: $ D.O.E Hourly Benefits, Target Annual Bonus and Paid Time Off
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervisor the shipping and receiving operations including assisting warehouse personnel, dock personnel and incoming material receivers. Comparing shipment and production put-away contents with manifests and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
- Directing personnel to specific stations during shifts and assisting with determining staffing requirements for busy seasons.
- Adhere to sanitation, safety, and security protocols as well as hold team members responsible for also adhering to all sanitation, safety and security protocols. (i.e.: monitor Forklift Operators are adhering to all safety protocols and coach as needed), report any incidents to the Operations Manager and the Food Safety Manager.
- Assist the Operations Manager with implementing and adhering to a finished goods appointment schedule.
- Adhere to warehouse operations and propose any opportunities for improvement to Operations Manager and other departments, where appropriate.
- Responsible for cooler management and all necessary reporting.
- Responsible for 100% shipment accuracy goal and all necessary reporting. Train & Coach Shipping personnel with this goal in mind, in coordination with Operations Manager, as necessary.
- In coordination with yard drivers and Operations Manager report damages, trailer spotting and fueling.
- In coordination with Operations Manager: All performance reviews, coaching, ADP schedule approvals/maintenance.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of five years’ experience in related field
- Strong Supervisory skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to delegate
- Flexibility to work nontraditional hours including nights and weekends.
- Detail-oriented and reliable
- Previous experience with Microsoft applications and ERP Programs (Oracle. Macola, SAP, etc.)
- Clear communication is extremely important: proficiency in the English language.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Physical demands: While performing duties of job, incumbent is occasionally required to stand for full shift; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work environment: Non-A/C work area, the noise level is usually moderate.
