Location: Cocoa, FL – 32926
Job Description:
Laborer needed for metal fabricating company, experienced with structural and miscellaneous steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and misc. metals, fabrication and/or field erection/installation.
Working hours dependent on jobsite/customer requirements.
General Position Responsibilities:
- Communicates with team members & supervisors.
- Maintain working environment (per employer standard).
- Duties may vary as business needs dictates.
- Build or repair structures in construction, repair, or manufacturing setting Determine material or tool requirements Read blueprints
- Use measuring devices in construction or extraction work
- Climb ladders or scaffolding
- Move or fit objects
- Understand technical operating, service or repair manuals
- Determine project methods and procedures
- Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications
- Adhere to safety procedures
- Fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand
- Make independent judgment in assembly procedures
- File, sand, grind, or polish metal objects
- Identify properties of metals for repair or fabrication activities
- Operate metal or fabricating equipment/machinery
- Recognize characteristics of metals
- Stretch, bend, straighten, shape, pound, or press metal
- Use precision measuring tools or equipment
- Perform safety inspections in industrial, manufacturing or repair setting
- Position, align, or level machines, equipment, or structures
- Read production layouts
- Set up and operate variety of machine tools
- Use hand or power tools
- Lay out machining, welding or precision assembly projects
- Any other tasked asked to complete.
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Access to tools; employer does not supply
- Organization skills
- Due to the nature of the job, required to communicate in English
- Must be flexible regarding work schedules. Overtime may be necessary, as assigned. Normal schedule is Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm.
