Automotive Parts Counter Position :
Qualifications
Proven ability to provide exceptional customer experience in a parts department.
Detail oriented and organized
Prior experience in parts sales and inventory reconciliation.
Demonstrated communication skills and working well with others.
Must have a valid, in-state drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
The parts counter person is crucial to customer satisfaction and shop productivity. They also manage special orders and inventory. Ordering the right parts ensures the customer receives their car back in an acceptable time frame.
Effective Communication with Technicians and advisors is crucial to the team being successful
Promote add-on items to increase sales opportunities when appropriate
Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction scores per Mazda CSI
Manage multiple parts orders and sales simultaneously
Follow all Gem Mazda of Tallahassees / Mazda Motors of America policies and procedures
Pass all required training
Process all warranty parts by Mazda Motors of America Policy and Procedures
Handle administrative processes in compliance with company policies
Job Description
Place special orders that have been verified to be the correct part
Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area
Check in stock orders and put all parts in the correct bin locations and order. Relabel shelves as needed. Be careful to note any parts ordered but not shipped.
Inspect parts for damage and shortages
Be prompt in completing all training opportunities
Complete parts estimate promptly; the Technician, advisor, and, most importantly, the customer are waiting for the information
Perform Bin checks Daily, not any discrepancies
Complies with all Company policies and procedures
Requirements
1 3 years of parts experience
Availability to work 45 -50 hours per week
Experience and desire to grow your skill set
Self-Motivated
Develop wholesale accounts
Understand the parts departments' roll in the customer experience
How youll succeed
