ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Construction Field Manager to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory! This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the organization of operations in the areas of Construction Engineering, Controls and Contracts Administration, and ensures that they are properly staffed.

• Ensures the proper coordination of the various groups within the Construction project.

• Plans, develops, coordinates and assists in the management of construction projects.

• Provides timely group support services to assist the various construction projects.

• Ensures consistent application of construction engineering standards and practices between jobs.

• Plans and develops projects or phases of project including those concerned with unique problems.

• May develop plans and conduct research on complex problems.

• May also plan, administer and recommend policies to senior management.

Requirements

• Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of relevant experience; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.

• Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.

• Must have DOE construction field management experience.

• Must have experience with Technical Design Interpretation.

• Must have strong communication skills.

• Must be able to read, interpret, and apply Procedural Oversight to Construction Processes including Civil, Electrical and Mechanical.

About the Site

The NNSA's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is a design laboratory responsible for the safety and reliability of the nuclear explosives package in nuclear weapons. This lab possesses unique capabilities in neutron scattering, enhanced surveillance, radiography, and plutonium science and engineering (energy.gov).
