GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our team. This position is full-time and will serve the Nevada National Security Site in North Las Vegas, NV. This role is anticipated to be short-term (6 months - 1 year) with possibility of extension.
- Manage and oversee the day-today generation of engineering deliverables on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.
- Generate engineering work plans, develop cost estimates with input, monitor cost and schedule performance, and interact professionally with project stakeholders.
- Develop project schedules with Project Controls Specialist using P6.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of relevant experience.
- To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
- Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Control Account Manager experience, preferred.
- Capital Line Item experience, preferred.
- Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred.
The NNSA's Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) helps ensure the security of the United States and its allies by supporting the stewardship of the nuclear deterrent, providing emergency response capability and training, and contributing to key nonproliferation and arms control initiatives. It executes unique national-level experiments, supports national security customers, manages the legacy of the nuclear deterrent, and provide long-term environmental stewardship for site missions ( energy.gov ).
