GEMCO is a national mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems and service contractor providing comprehensive design and build solutions for its customers throughout the United States. Position Summary
The Pipefitter is responsible for the assembling and installing of piping systems to new and existing construction projects, as well as assist Foreman in running projects. Act as trainer to apprentices.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
Must be able to engage in fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping for hydronic systems including steam, natural gas, chilled/Hot water commercial systems. Also Including compressed air systems.

Requirements
- Must have min 8 years’ experience.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Work experience in new commercial construction
- General computer, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Must have a current Driver’s License
- Knowledge of all phases of building construction, including work commonly done by the various building crafts.
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications for buildings.
- Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
Physical Demands
- The position requires standing, bending, reaching, lifting a majority of the workday.
- Lift repetitively 50 pounds.
- Climb ladders.
- Work from scaffolding and lifts.
- Capable of driving long distances (up to 14 hours per day) between job sites.
- Other manual labor as required.
