GEMCORE is a well-established and growing healthcare distribution company shipping over 25,000 packages a day with detailed accuracy. We are seeking a highly motivated Buyer to join our high energy, friendly team. The Buyer's main responsibility is the purchasing and inventory control; working with manufacturers, distribution, procurement for the organization.

Schedule is 8 : 15 am - 5 : 00 pm, Monday through Friday based out of our Hudson, OH headquarters

Key Duties and Responsibilities :
Place daily purchase orders to replenish stock or to fulfill specific customer orders, including analysis of current inventory levels, and forecasted demand.
Place / review outside work order, non-inventory orders, distribution center and office supplies.
Monitor, communicate, follow up, resolve and advise customer service or distribution center of back ordered products and delivery status.
Ensure that order confirmations are reviewed and stored in accordance with storage plan.
Ensure that orders are completed / received by dead line.
Communicate procedures for vendor returns. Manage returns to vendor and ensure credit is provided or replacements are sent.
Evaluate and maintain inventory standard cost and standard pricing in ERP accordingly.
Investigate and propose possible solutions that improve operations and reduce unnecessary inventory.
Work with management and distribution center team to identify potential vendors
Meet with vendors to gather product and services information for distribution.
Key Requirements :
High school degree or equivalent
Technically proficient with computer, inventory software including ERP systems
3-10 years of purchasing experience required.
3-10 years of inventory control experience required.
