- Conduct and / or participate in multidisciplinary research.
- Collaborate with equipment designers and / or hardware engineers in the planning, design,development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems software.
- Determine computer user needs.
- Advise hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems suchas storage capacity, processing speed, and input / output requirements.
- Design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs and operating systems.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
- Familiar with software development and diagnostic tools.
- Must be detail oriented and highly organized, able to manage priorities to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.Required Education, Licenses and Certifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics or computer engineering or related field. Militaryexperience acceptable in lieu of education.
