Gemini Bakery Equipment, one of North America’s largest designers and suppliers of custom, automated bread systems is seeking a Continuous Improvement Project Manager - Manufacturing.
The ideal candidate is proficient in Continuous Improvement methodology (Lean or Six Sigma, 5s, Visual Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis), has experience leading continuous improvement projects related to operational effectiveness in a manufacturing environment, has led cross-functional teams to successfully implement improvements and has technical as well as leadership skills.
Please note: This is specifically a continuous improvement project management role and not a design-based Project Management role. Only candidates with continuous improvementexperience will be considered.

Continuous Improvement Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Implement operational excellence strategies and roadmaps in alignment with company priorities and initiatives including training/coaching and ensuring proper mechanisms are in place to sustain systems and progress.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and standardize the improvement tools and strategies used at Gemini and create metrics and a reporting structure that measures operational efficiency across all functional areas.
- Work with departments, such as manufacturing and assembly, to identify bottlenecks and areas of opportunity to improve metrics such as overall lead-time and on-time delivery.
- Partner with managers to lead process improvement events that include employees throughout the organization.
- Responsible for managing a cross-functional team and multiple continuous improvement projects.
- Coordinate and maintain overall CapEx planning/projects in coordination with managers in various facilities.
- Drive to project milestones and scope and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
- Control changes in scope, identify and mitigate potential challenges, and drive projects to completion.
Continuous Improvement Project Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred. (Would consider someone without a degree who meets all the other qualifications).
- 5 yrs. of continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment with proficiency in Continuous Improvement methodology, such as Lean or Six Sigma, 5s, Visual Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis.
- 5 yrs. of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on custom or job-oriented production processes.
- 2 yrs. Project management experience.
- Proven collaboration skills.
- Microsoft Project or similar applications experience.
- Must be able to travel between the Bangor, York Haven and Philadelphia locations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
