Job Summary
Develop, plan, and implement proactive environmental programs to ensure an environmentally friendly workplace. Manage and coordinate all safety activities for manufacturing sites. Assist with planning, implementing, and maintaining a variety of occupational health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure the highest degree of safety for employees.
Job Requirements
Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent education and work experience may be combined to meet this requirement.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to communicate, implement, and coordinate comprehensive health and safety accident prevention programs.
Ability to organize a multitude of simultaneous projects and ability to lead and direct teams and/or committees.
Excellent customer relations, communication, and team building skills.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Knowledge of ISO 14001, EGLE, EPA, and State and Federal regulations.
Job Preferences
Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, Safety Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of safety related experience.
Knowledge of regulations established by MIOSHA and OSHA.
In depth knowledge of plant operations.
Advanced problem-solving skills.
