Job Summary
Materials Coordinator maintains a perpetual inventory of all materials and supplies needed to ensure continuous production operations through successful supply chain management. Responsible for strategic planning and cost maintenance processes that support the company. Provide summaries, reports, and recommendations related to procurements to the Materials Manager.
Essential Job Functions
- Stock, receipt, and put away all incoming transfers.
- Receive product into the warehouse, verify that the product received matches the receiving paperwork and is visually undamaged and acceptable for use.
- Add direct material purchased parts into CMS (AS400). Assist in new-part setup.
- Review direct material requirement planning reports for anticipated production supply needs and maintain appropriate inventory levels; issue purchase orders, and reconcile invoices for accuracy and conformance.
- Monitor supplier delivery dates and create visual supplier-scorecards.
- Perform physical inventory daily (or as needed) to ensure system integrity.
- Coordinate and assist with inventory counts to maintain accurate packaging, RAW, and FG inventories.
- Complete weekly physical tote inventory and sent to suppliers.
- Collaborate with other departments and vendors to ensure the success of receiving purchases timely.
- Monitor, and maintain, production purchase order pricing and budgets.
- Follow all QMS and EMS policies, procedures, and work instructions. Perform general housekeeping; always keep work area clean and organized per the 6-S standard.
- Take inventory in the cells at designated times.
- Fill carton storage racks and take weekly inventory of cartons.
- Back-up Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, as needed.
- Responsible for general office duties; respond professionally to visitor needs and incoming telephone calls.
- Any other duties or tasks, as assigned by your manager.
