What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Internship Gemini-Cannon Falls, MN position at Gemini, Inc.?
The Engineering Intern will be responsible for observing the functions and processes of the assigned work unit. In addition, the intern may be given selected work assignments to reinforce the learning experience, to assess the performance levels and to provide benefit to the work unit.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the engineering field as well as the advanced manufacturing industry while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Essential Functions
The intern will be responsible for completing all internship related assignments and reports for both Gemini and the participating educational facility. The duration and timing of the internship will be arranged with the intern and the sponsoring educational facility.
Required Qualifications
- The student must be enrolled in a degree program from a college or university. Typically, this internship would occur after the student has taken most of the coursework required by the degree program. The degree program must require an internship as a graduation requirement or offer the internship as a credit option.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Takes responsibility for all work activities and personal actions
- Self-starter with the ability to set and juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Design experience
- Skills in Electrical engineering a plus
- Skills in Software Engineering a plus
- Manufacturing background/interest
- LEAN experience
- Working knowledge in Solid works or be capable of doing 3-D drawing
- Ability to drive continuous improvement change with a positive attitude
- Highly collaborative, with ability to develop strong relationships and influence stakeholders across the company
- Maintains high personal standards of conduct, has high interpersonal relationship integrity, and consistently does what they say they are going to do, when they say they are going to do it
