Color Tint Technician
Grand Prairie, Texas, USA
SUMMARY
The Gemini Technical Group is comprised of Laboratory, Color, and Quality Control departments.
The Color-Tint Technician I position will have the opportunity to learn about the processes and procedures from each department in this group by focusing on producing batches, testing batches, reporting results, and working with color software.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work under direct supervision.
- Accurately make and tint batches to color specification
- Carry out routine and semi-routine color lab tasks
- Become familiar with:
- Gemini’s different product technologies
- How to apply different types of color products
- Color computer software and how to adjust color of batches
- Document all findings and communicate those findings to colleagues and supervisor
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Have ability to see color variation - Must be able to score acceptably on the color hue test
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Able to follow instructions and procedures
- Work math problems with percentages and ratios
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Operate Microsoft Office software and be able to learn Gemini business and development software
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma/GED/associate’s degree and 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing or laboratory environment
Working Conditions
Working conditions for this position are a combination of laboratory and plant environments. The employee may be exposed to dust, fumes, noise, and extreme temperatures at times.
