Clearance: TS/SCI Required (Must be read-in prior to start)

Education: MA/MS in National Security, Intelligence, or a related field (or a BA/BS degree plus an additional four (4) years of relevant work-related experience)

Outcomes:

The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes during the first year in the position:

  • Formally track all tasks, to include assigned by, suspense, status, and comments on all assigned tasks through completion and be prepared to brief upon request.
  • Develop digital continuity folders and files that include standard operating procedures, workflows and POC lists to accomplish all tasks.
  • Create 2-3 products beyond the client’s requirements that positively impact the client to either increase efficiency, effectiveness, or innovation.
  • Master position tasks within 60 days and exceed requirements within 90 days.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Intelligence Analyst (SME) provides unique scientific, technical, and analytic intelligence expertise to produce studies, research and reports on topics affecting Department of Air Force (DAF) sensitive activities worldwide to include current and emerging technologies. The Senio Intelligence Analyst also conducts assessments on existing and emerging sensitive activities, initiatives, programs, and technologies. The Senior Intelligence Analyst must have the ability to identify, collect, organize, and exploit aggregated unclassified and classified information and other resources in a manner that helps the Government anticipate, identify, and investigate problems and expedite solutions. The DAF SAF/OCX office has a continuing need for senior intelligence analyst expertise to ensure the effective execution of mission-critical intelligence operations. The complexity and scope of sensitive activities and emerging threats necessitate subject matter expertise (SME) in intelligence collection, technical assessments, and risk analysis. Due to the rapidly evolving nature of adversary capabilities, scientific and technical intelligence assessments are essential for maintaining operational superiority and ensuring mission success. This position is heavy on the physical domain and less heavy on Cyber. Per sections 1.3.5, Intelligence Support, and 1.3.6, Intelligence Oversight Compliance, the specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide SME expertise in technology applications, design concepts, and operations associated with classified DoD physical domains (computer networks).
  • Conduct intelligence research, prepare and present intelligence briefings, prepare intelligence assessments and studies, and prepare concise written reports.
  • Provide off-site technical intelligence and management support to CDM requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with other intelligence analysts and technology specialists.
  • Create actionable information activities intelligence (e.g., military intelligence analysis) across the various intelligence disciplines/domains or scientific and technical intelligence; or, within the business, competitive, and market intelligence domains.
  • Produce intelligence reports in a variety of formats for concise, succinct, and clear delivery (RR #46).
  • Develop expedited intelligence reports by utilizing advanced text and visual analytics.
  • Conduct intelligence oversight compliance, advise and ensure adherence to EO 12333, DoD Manual 5240.01, Air Force Instruction 14-104, and all other relevant DoD Intelligence issuances and training requirements applicable to intelligence, counterintelligence and intelligence related activities.
  • Adhere to all relevant Federal laws, DoD and DAF policies, regulations, directives, issuances and training requirements regarding counterintelligence and counterintelligence investigations.

Qualifications:

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in military intelligence analysis, ISR operations, and DoD intelligence support.
  • Of those 15 years, a minimum of Ten (10) years of direct experience supporting a DoD component in joint intelligence planning, ISR operations, or strategic intelligence support.
  • Expertise in intelligence collection methodologies, national security strategy, and DoD intelligence processes.
  • Strong background in intelligence oversight compliance, including familiarity with EO 12333, DoD Manual 5240.01, and Air Force Intelligence policies.
  • Proficiency in intelligence analysis software, data visualization tools, and analytical methodologies.
  • Ability to brief and advise senior military and defense officials on intelligence matters and strategic assessments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and abilities to brief at all levels.

The following qualifications are desired:

  • Experience in NATO, coalition, or military intelligence operations.
  • Experience with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Python, AI/ML (tools).

Travel:

  • Some local travel and TDY may be required (less than 10%).
