Position Description:

The UX/UI Designer will design the overall functionality of our technology products, and ensure a great user experience in accordance with user-testing. The UX/UI Designer will understand the business requirements and any technical limitations by creating and conducting user research, interviews and surveys. The UX/UI Designer will translate this data into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes and mockups. Responsibilities include communicating clearly, concisely, politely and authentically with stakeholders internally and externally, gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components. 

The UX/UI Designer should have experience with design software and wireframe tools and have a portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess exceptional UI skills, be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

• Location: The ideal candidate lives in the greater Sacramento area and is open to a flexible hybrid-remote work schedule in our Rocklin, CA office. We will also consider candidates who live in California, Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, or Washington and are willing to travel for in-person events up to a few times a year.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (PST/PDT)
• Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum

Requirements

• BS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design/Design/Computer Science/relevant field or equivalent UX/UI Designer experience
• 3-5 years of UX/UI Designer experience supporting Agile software development 
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills in a highly collaborative but autonomous environment where self-discipline, teamwork and camaraderie is expected
• Expertise in standard UX/UI software tools such as Figma, Usertesting, Lucidchart, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop Sketch, Storybook, and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript skills are a plus.
• Solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns
• Experience using UX/UI design best practices to design responsive web-app solutions
• Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently
• Demonstrable UI design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction 
• Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, customer journeys, user flows, process flows and sitemaps and visual displays
• Experience working in an agile/scrum development process is required
• Up to date with the latest UI trends, techniques and technologies
• Previous experience working in a Lean environment is a plus
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
