Position – Prior Authorization Coordinator
The Financial Analyst position is classified as supporting an administrative support department for the Regional Care Group network. The incumbent hired will represent Regional Care Group network on official communications.
Position Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Prior Authorization Specialist to join our Patient Financial Support Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for obtaining prior authorizations for medical procedures, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements, and facilitating the approval process.
Essential Functions:
- Review and process prior authorization requests from providers
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain authorization for medical procedures
- Ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies and procedures
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare organization with focus on customer service and collections
