Gemline® is looking for a Inside Sales Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of our inside sales team’s capacity, performance, and training needs along with performing as a liaison to the field sales team with selective responsibilities. This is a hybrid position, which requires you to be onsite at our Lawrence, MA headquarters three days a week. This position will partner effectively with other sales roles and sales leadership to support the realization of revenue objectives. The manager will also lead all related training, metrics, and performance related to inside sales processes. This position will report to Gemline’s Director of Field Sales, North America. Responsibilities include:
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Lead and manage a team of Inside Sales Representatives by creating and maintaining schedules, assigning backup coverage, and ensuring smooth information flow between the team, Sales Leadership, and other departments.
- Oversee performance review processes, conduct regular 1:1 sessions, and facilitate team meetings to drive engagement and accountability.
- Manage issue escalations, proactively analyzing trends to implement problem-solving strategies for root cause resolution.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales and the Field sales teams to drive revenue growth
- Serve as the key liaison between internal teams and sales, identifying operational inefficiencies and delivering solutions to enhance communication and effectiveness.
Data-Driven Insights & KPI Management:
- Oversee the tracking and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Inside Sales team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and manage reports and dashboards to monitor work volume, capacity, and productivity using Salesforce CRM, Power BI, and ERP platforms.
- Analyze data to identify performance gaps and opportunities for improvement, providing ROI-driven recommendations for tools and process enhancements.
- Position the Inside Sales function as a trusted advisor to sales partners by leveraging data insights to drive informed decision-making.
Project & Event Management:
- Manage multiple projects and assignments efficiently, ensuring timely completion and high-quality outcomes.
- Occasionally travel (overnight) to attend industry trade shows and customer events, representing the organization and supporting sales initiatives.
Requirements/Qualifications:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers
· Strong organizational skills and proven track record of productivity and task completion
· 2-4 years of experience with managing a team of inside sales individuals
· Ability to develop effective relationships with all levels of staff and management
· BS degree or equivalent work experience
· Experience with Salesforce CRM
