What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Analyst MLS position at GEMMA?
General Responsibilities :
- Responsible for working with the school staff (teachers, administrators and support staff) to facilitate positive behavior change for students identified as exhibiting maladaptive responding that interferes with skill acquisition and overall school programming.
- Identify the environmental variables that occasion and maintain the maladaptive responses, potential skill deficits of the student and then work with school staff to develop a Behavior Intervention Plan that fits within the academic setting.
- May be required to develop curricular programs for certain students to address various skill domains (communication, self-help, academic, etc).
- Staff training is a requirement in this position as school staff will need to become fluent in the implementation of Behavior Intervention Programs and skill acquisition programs.
- Some students will require consultation programming in the home; training responsibilities will also be applied and provided to the parents and the school personnel.
Education / Training :
Experience : A minimum of five (5) years' related experience normally required.
