What are the responsibilities and job description for the Biology Teacher Classroom 10-month MLS position at GEMMA?
The focus of the position is to provide direct instruction to students to help them learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their social, emotional, and academic development; coordinating work within the School, as well as with other divisions / departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established for the assigned function; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.
Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate outdoor education lessons aligned with camp themes - fishing, environmental education, archaeology, geology.
Lead hands-on activities such as hikes, fishing excursions, nature walks, plant and animal identification, and basic outdoor skills.
Ensure the safety and well-being of campers, providing clear instructions and supervision during all activities.
Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment, building rapport with campers and promoting teamwork and cooperation.
