This role will provide support for the architecture vision, review process, management of the infrastructure project portfolio, support for major initiatives, and delivery of key emerging technologies in alignment with business strategies. This role will work closely with other IT teams to align future business drivers with technology and data enterprise architectural roadmap.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under the direction of the Enterprise Architecture Director, integrate outcomes of the strategic planning process to identify enterprise business drivers; translate these to common business, information, and technology architecture requirements.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of industry, technology and market trends to determine potential impacts on the enterprise.
- Analyze current business and IS environment to detect critical deficiencies.
- Lead the evaluation and design of network solutions across technologies to optimize, standardize the network and address the technical debt.
- Provide thought leadership on new technologies, drive proof of concept and technical feasibility studies. Partner cross-functionally for the transformation of the network.
- Document current network architecture an define future architecture to address short term and long terms needs of the enterprise.
- Develop transitional roadmaps and present to management and executives for buy in and approval
- As part of strategic planning process, assist in the annual architecture plan development.
- Provide leadership for cross-organizational teams in the analysis and development of implementation plans based on prioritized requirements.
- Assist in implementation, ongoing refinement activities and the documentation of all enterprise architecture design and analysis work.
- Lead the architecture design, development and end to end deployment of high performance networks, server, firewall and storage environments.
- Develop short term and long term network technology transformation roadmaps to address the problems related to scalability, performance and cost optimization.
- Assist with building / automating services for customers.
- Other duties as assigned.TECHNICIAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Expert level knowledge on networking concepts, architecture and technologies.
- Proven ability and experience in development of the architecture and roadmap for network modernization
- Expertise in architecting network and Infra security technologies including LAN, WAN, Wireless, Voice & Video, VPN, SASE, micro-services, Cloud etc.
- Experience in designing, implementing and managing of networking solutions for hybrid cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration between on-premise infrastructure and Cloud platforms.
- Experience with OpenStack, AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud or VMware
- Strong experience with complex networks, perimeter security management and routing
- Ability to document and diagram technical systems and architectures
- Experience supporting Operational Support Systems (OSS) and / or Network Management Systems (NMS)
- Ability to display supportive behavior and communicate positively regarding department goals and objectives.
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of personalities to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to fulfill assigned commitments in a timely manner within established budgets while achieving quality results.
- Excellent grammar, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and resolve conflict when necessary.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and / or internationally, if needed.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, degree, or equivalent industry experience
- 10 years’ experience in network / systems architecture design and / or support in a Medium to Large environment
- 5 years designing highly scalable, secure and high performing network systems
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification is preferablePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)
- Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.
