We are looking for a experienced, reliable Estimator to prepare complete detailed bid packages for both public and private work ranging from $100K - $25M. Must have experience in commercial construction, a plus if it's with financial institutions and convenience store/fast food restaurants.
Responsibilities:
- Search for new projects to bid
- Obtain drawings and specifications
- Solicit subcontractors, material and equipment quotes.
- Obtain appropriate bonding and insurance quotes for the project
- Review drawings and specification in detail
- Prepare accurate quantity take off
- Prepare cost estimate for review via timberline
- Review subcontractor/material quotes for completeness and accuracy.
- Attend pre bid meetings.
- Prepare appropriate bid submission documents for review and signature.
- Prepare project schedule.
- Create formal proposals for submission to clients
- Accurate evaluation of blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation
- Preparing Take-Offs, creating accurate scopes of work, qualifying subs, soliciting bids and proposals analysis prior to submissions
- Expand subcontractor network
- Assist Project Managers with Change order Estimates.
- Upon award, transition material and subcontractor quotes and quantities to Project Manager
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating and cost control
- Construction Project Manage and/or Site Super experience a plus
- Must be well versed in Timberline, On Screen Take Off and Microsoft Project.
- Proficiency in construction management principles and practices
- Strong knowledge of building materials, methods, and regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documents
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Salary: $65,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year based on proven track record of experience
