What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Business Analyst position at Gen II?
Gen II Fund Services is looking for a Business Analyst. As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in reviewing, analyzing and evaluating business systems and user needs in order to meet the goals of internal and external stakeholders. This role will need to work with the business to understand the current business processes, identify future needs and create solutions to help meet those needs, usually (but not always) in relation to information and software systems. The ideal candidate possesses excellent attention to detail to produce and maintain high quality requirements and process documentation to help capture and support the agreed areas of change. This role reports to the Global Head – Strategic Project Management Office.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- General
- Lead business and process requirement groups to understand the needs of the business departments and the Gen II Fund Services Group as a whole.
- Build strong relationships with the key project stakeholders to help communicate and formulate the vision and requirements for the project.
- Support the Program / Project Manager with project implementation, including planning, monitoring and issue resolution.
- Requirements Definition
- Document and develop business cases, including the cost benefit analysis to gain agreement from the Change Committee / Senior Management for the recommendations.
- Complete requirement and process analysis to identify and suggest possible areas for strategic and operational improvements and changes.
- Produce and maintain high quality requirements and process documentation to help capture and support the agreed areas of change.
- Project Execution and Delivery
- Define client needs by listening actively to their requirements and facilitate identifying solutions.
- Complete impact analysis assessments for identified change requests.
- Support the business, developers and testers throughout the test process.
- Support the business with conducting change impact assessments and preparing readiness plans to ensure a smooth transition of changes.
- Support the business through the project hyper-care period to ensure that queries and issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Be responsible for Business Analysis workload and work autonomously to ensure timelines for project work streams are met.
- Identify, outline, and escalate risks and issues to the Project Manager
- Evaluate performance against defined project goals.
- Governance:
- Work with the project management team and key stakeholders, to deliver the project on time and within budget.
- Support the adoption of standard PMO team templates and tools for project delivery.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about Business Analysis updates, features, and best practices.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the Business Analysis and Project Management Office environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role
- Excellent written and verbal English, including technical writing skills

Preferred Skills:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Business Analyst or in a similar role
- Recognized business analyst or project management qualification e.g. Lean Six Sigma, CBAP, PRINCE2, PMI
- Excellent knowledge of Business Modelling techniques and tools
- Familiarity with project methodologies
- Experience in Global Financial Services is preferred
The salary range for this position $105,000-$135,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offer within that range will depend on the candidate’s experience level.

Work Arrangement
