Job Description:
The People Operations Specialist will play a vital role in managing the employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth operations from onboarding to offboarding. This role requires collaboration with other People functions and cross-functional teams to enhance the overall employee experience. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, and be proficient in HRIS systems, particularly Workday.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all employee actions including new hires, I-9/E-Verify, transfers, pay changes, status changes, and terminations, ensuring all steps are completed accurately and promptly.
- Respond to routine inquiries related to HR matters, such as policies, benefits, payroll, and paid time off.
- Deliver timely and accurate processing of HR transactions while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Assist employees by educating them on company policies, practices, and tools to promote efficiency in issue resolution.
- Maintain the integrity of HRIS (Workday) data through direct entries and periodic audits.
- Generate and provide regular and ad hoc reports on HR information.
- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to coordinate seamless new hire onboarding.
- Update and maintain process documentation.
- Participate in HR initiatives and projects as required.
- Provide immigration backup support as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Proficiency in Workday (maintaining employee information, creating Supervisory Organizations, modifying reports).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to spot errors in data and workflows.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain high professional standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience is preferred.
Additional Details:
- Work Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PT.
- Interview Process: One interview with the Hiring Manager and team members.
- Special Software/Skills: Workday, Microsoft Excel.
- Location: This is a hybrid role based in Draper, UT, requiring three days in the office (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday).
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $30.09 - $30.96 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
