Job Overview:
We are seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations by managing the storage, organization, and transportation of materials. This role involves safely operating forklifts, handling shipments, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will follow established safety protocols, inventory procedures, and shipping regulations (including DOT, DHS, TSCA, and CT-PAT).
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve finished goods from storage areas
- Store raw materials in designated locations
- Safely operate a forklift to move materials
- Load and unload shipments as required
- Follow pick lists and bills of lading (BOLs)
- Operate pumps for off-loading tankers
- Set up and clean work areas as needed
- Participate in safety programs and complete daily checklists
- Ensure compliance with inventory procedures and material handling guidelines
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, handling returns, damaged, or obsolete materials appropriately
- Maintain a safe, clean work area by following personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and daily workplace standards
- Assist in the organization and consolidation of warehouse and storage areas
- Follow all shipping regulatory requirements (DOT, DHS, TSCA, CT-PAT)
- Support production teams by retrieving and delivering necessary materials while adhering to all safety guidelines
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Forklift certification (required)
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience (preferred)
- Strong reading comprehension and math skills
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Safety-conscious mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
- Self-motivated with a commitment to high performance standards
- Positive attitude and adaptability to changing work needs
