What are the responsibilities and job description for the Generator Technician position at Gen-X Generator?
Gen-X Generator is a family owned stand-by generator dealer and service company in Highland Park IL.
We are looking for new generator technicians to add to our team. This person would be responsible for general maintenance of stand-by generator units and service and repairs as needed. Most units are residential air cooled and less than 10 years old.
Qualifications include:
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems
- Basic knowledge of generator systems
- Basic knowledge of small engine operation
- Valid drivers license
- Excellent reliability
- Willingness to learn from other team members
We offer ride-along training for two weeks prior to starting in the field. A work vehicle will be provided along with specialty tools needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
