What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler - 1st Shift position at Genco Industries, Inc?
General electrical assembly – all duties can be trained if you have the desire to learn!!! Upper level assemblers needed as well!
Job Duties: Stripping wire, removing jacket from cable, crimping terminals, inserting terminals into connectors, tie wrapping, some soldering of wires (if you have the ability - can train). General assembly to our customers’ drawings and Genco’s internal work instructions. With internal training and step by step work instructions, almost anyone with the desire, motor skills, speed, and attention to detail can perform these duties. Some jobs are very simple and require repetition while other assemblies are more challenging for the more seasoned, determined associate. Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. Most jobs are done seated and at a workstation but may require standing and bending as well. Ability and willingness to move with a purpose and a strong sense of urgency. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English - as well as - read a ruler, count accurately, and be able to distinguish colors. The ability to read prints is a plus!!! High School/GED education required. Upper level assemblers should be able to solder.
Status:
Full-time, 40 hours per week minimum (OT as required)
Shift:
First Shift, Monday – Friday (occasional Saturday)
Hours: 5/6:00am-2:30pm, Monday - Friday
