Located in Lewiston Maine, Gendron & Gendron is a growing leader in the Commercial Construction industry seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. If you are skilled or mechanically inclined and looking to spend your day learning while working, Gendron may be the place for you.
Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair construction vehicles and equipment in industrial settings
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on construction vehicles and equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using knowledge of industrial mechanics
- General labor and job clean up - Working at different heights
- A constant need to follow MSHA safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area - Rotating on Call Schedule would include days and nights.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance
- The ability to log and inventory critical spare parts
- Previous welding experience in performing basic equipment repairs is beneficial but not required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and works well with others or in a self-directed environment
- Must be able to effectively interpret and retain the information from any and all operating manuals to implement manufacturer recommendations - The ideal candidate will come with their own tools
