Job Responsibilities
- Prepare revenue-related journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure complete and accurate revenue recognition as part of the month-end close process in accordance with ASC 606.
- Prepare and analyze revenue-related financial reports, including reconciliations and revenue recognition schedule.
- Assist in reviewing newly signed contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to revenue recognition.
- Assist in the preparation of revenue-related financial statements and footnote disclosures supporting SEC reporting requirements.
- Analyze and interpret revenue-related data to identify trends and variances that will help provide insight to the business on revenue.
- Execute and monitor internal controls in accordance with SOX requirements, contributing to the preparation of the Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) opinion to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the financial statements.
- Prepare revenue accounting documentation to support external audit process.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in revenue recognition standards, regulations and best practices.
- Does not lead people
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the biotechnology or life sciences industry.
- Strong understanding and technical knowledge of ASC 606 and SOX Controls
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Experience with ERP tools (NetSuite) and billing systems (Xifin) a plus.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- This role primarily operates in a professional office environment, with regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
- The position requires extended periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and occasional walking, standing, and light lifting.
