What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Associate II/ Senior Research Associate Synthetic Biology position at GeneFab?
Research Associate II/ Senior Research Associate Synthetic Biology
GeneFab’s mission is to make innovative genetic medicines available for all. Our synthetic biology team is a go-to R&D task force for biotech and pharmaceutical clients across a wide variety of disease indications and therapeutic modalities in the cell and gene therapy space. We use DNA, RNA, and protein engineering paired with massively parallel screening to create technologies that enhance the performance, precision, and safety of cell, gene, and nucleic acid therapies.
We are looking for a research associate to join our synthetic biology team to contribute to the development of technologies for our external partners as well as the expansion of GeneFab’s SynBioplatform. The research associate will evaluate the function of genetic elements (such as promoters, UTRs, and synthetic switches), often assisting with novel assay development, brainstorming, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is curious, collaborative, and detail-oriented, with a record of successfully executing on multiple workflows at a time.
