What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at Generac Power Systems?
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing entry-level inspections, including visual checks and basic functional testing, to ensure company products comply with internal and external specifications. The role involves repetitive tasks and requires proficiency in using microscopes, calipers, and micrometers to complete 10-15 different inspections.
Night Shift: 6:30pm - 6:30am
Rotating 12hours shift
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspections of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies according to inspection plans and specifications.
- Conduct PCI activities for NA Notifications at the US Regional Service Center as needed.
- Follow all procedural requirements to maintain compliance with applicable Quality System Regulations (e.g., cGMP compliance).
- Support the paper document archival process, including preparing pallets for shipment to R4 and scanning documents for electronic archival in Agile.
- Initiate Non-Conformance reports as required.
- Support NC (Non-Conformance) and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) activities as needed.
- Work on special projects as they arise.
Requirements:
- MUST have clean room experience
- MUST have medical device manufacturing experience
- Must be over 18 years of age
