The Analyst - Corporate Development and Investor Relations role will provide important additional focus on Generac’s significantly expanding investor relations efforts as well as key support for strategic planning processes. Key responsibilities within strategic planning include supporting and coordinating key functions such as the TAM/SAM market assessment process, development of strategic initiatives, and long-range planning support and analysis. Key responsibilities within investor relations include assisting with the quarterly earnings process, staying current on business and industry trends, companies of interest reporting, supporting investor inquiries and meetings, and helping to advance the company’s messaging with the investment community.

Key responsibilities within investor relations include assisting with the quarterly earnings process, staying current on business and industry trends, companies of interest reporting, supporting investor inquiries and meetings, and helping to advance the company’s messaging with the investment community.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
- 1 year experience in finance and/or business with an emphasis in equity research, or serving in Corporate Development, Corporate Finance or an IR role with a publicly traded company
- CFA or CPA designation or progress towards such designation
- Corporate Finance experience in tandem with significant exposure to IR workstreams
- Relevant industry experience within power generation or energy technology
- Prior experience working for a multi-national company

Quarterly Earnings Process and IR Messaging and Content
- Assist with the quarterly earnings review process to identify key highlights and themes, which includes analyzing financial statements and preparing supporting schedules
- Assist with preparation of quarterly earnings releases, earnings call scripts, and Q&A documents for public earnings calls
- Maintain internal Investor Relations financial model and consensus estimate tracking model
- Drive quarterly updates to Generac’s publicly published Investor Presentation
- Prepare the quarterly summary for Board of Directors of analyst reports and consensus financial estimates
- Help drive IR messaging by identifying company-specific highlights and themes, as well as industry and sector trends
Staying Current on the Business
- Monitor relevant daily and weekly reporting of KPI metrics across the company
- Complete quarterly companies of interest reporting, providing key insights on peers and competitors to business leaders
- Monitor relevant disclosure of public competitors and other companies of interest, disseminating key information to business leaders
- Monitor news flow related macroeconomic, public and private market, and industry specific themes and trends and communicate relevant detail to business leaders
- Analyze and compare the company’s valuation relative to peer groups
Corporate Strategy
- Collaborate with leaders across the business on key functions within the strategic planning process such as market research, TAM/SAM market assessments and long-range planning
- Support corporate analysis of strategic initiatives across the business
- Support and facilitate strategic alignment across the business
- Ad-hoc strategy projects
Investor Relations Events and Inbound Call and Email Requests
- Plan, manage and coordinate investor events throughout the year
- Manage and coordinate incoming requests from investors
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- SEC regulations knowledge regarding disclosure and dissemination of financial information
- Financial statement analysis
- Market research experience
- Strong understanding of financial markets, specifically public equity markets
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
