The Director of Product Management for Generac's Portable Power Products category is responsible for achieving sales targets and developing effective sales and marketing strategies on a global scale. This position involves managing important customer relationships and driving key business initiatives within the region, while ensuring excellent customer support. The Director supervises their team to identify and negotiate with potential partners in various segments, such as residential, commercial, and industrial, to achieve long-term growth in the region. They also manage and expand business strategies with existing customers, and oversee all aspects of Generac transactions with customers, including sales, legal, credit/payment, logistics, OE, and shipment.

The Director of Product Management for Generac's Portable Power Products category is responsible for achieving sales targets and developing effective sales and marketing strategies on a global scale. Strategy:
- Lead Global Product Management Team to develop product category strategy to drive revenue and profitability for multiple product lines.
- Collaborate with and provide guidance to other Product Management Teams and Executive Management to prioritize and align product strategies and roadmaps
- Identify and develop strategic market opportunities
- Collaborate to determine strategic distribution structure and channels
- Develop suitable strategies to expand business with existing customers and attract new ones
- Develop strategic relationships with End Users in key segments
- Drive activities to support key launch events or product milestones
- Metrix performance of Team utilizing Key Performance Indicators
- Designs and direct the work of the functional area. Selects, coaches and develops the team,
- Set personal and team objectives that align with company strategy
- Develop business plan to support new product development proposals
- Drive marketing efforts to support products
- Participate in trade shows, sales training, and key customer interface
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- 10 years of progressive in marketing, business or engineering
- 7 years management experience
- Master’s Degree
- International leadership experience
- Experience leading warranties and policy administration
- Experience leading OEM/dealer distribution
- Previous experience using SAP
- Fluency in a language native to the assigned region
- Fluency in English language
- Advanced presentation and negotiation skills
- Advanced understanding of Engineering and technical sales
- Strategic, engaging, self-motivated
- Ability to drive high performance team to achieve tangible results
- Demonstrated technical skills for executing new product development projects in a manufacturing and engineering environment
- Successfully management multiple Product Lines
- Up to 30% travel, including International and valid Driver’s License required.
