The Product Compliance Technician is responsible for the planning, fabrication, implementation, and performance of complex compliance tests of current and new product designs. Ensures that the test requirements for product testing and processes are defined and met partnering with various Engineering teams.
Location – Reno, NV or South Portland, Maine – On site

The Product Compliance Technician is responsible for the planning, fabrication, implementation, and performance of complex compliance tests of current and new product designs. Ensures that the test requirements for product testing and processes are defined and met partnering with various Engineering teams.
Location – Reno, NV or South Portland, Maine – On site
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Product Compliance Testing function working closely with Product Compliance engineers
- Design and fabricate custom test fixtures by analyzing requirements from global compliance standards such as UL, CSA, IEC.
- Maintain and facilitate calibration of test equipment by interfacing with external labs
- Ensure test consumables are procured and maintained to perform compliance tests
- Develop and ensure lab operations safety protocols are being followed
- Setup test equipment and products per testing procedures defined in standards.
- Perform tests on prototypes and existing products for stated criteria involving mechanical, electrical and environmental functions
- Logistics management by organizing tests with external labs
- Maintain test-related documentation
- High School Diploma.
- 2 years of relevant laboratory work experience.
- UL, CSA, IEC certification.
- Proficiency in CAD design, Circuit/SLD drawings, Control wiring, Component selection.
- Experience using specialized equipment such as Power Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Grid Simulators, PV simulators etc.
- Available to travel to internal and external labs
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Manage and participate in projects.
- Interpret blueprint and electrical schematics.
- Demonstrate self-motivation.
- Lead and complete projects within guidelines.
- Work effectively in a fast-pace, team environment.
- Communicate effectively though written and oral means.
