The Senior Human Resources Generalist Sr provides a broad range of HR services in support of business objectives under the direction of a director or manager of Human Resources. Implements and administers HR policies and programs concerning communication and recognition for manufacturing and/or professional employees. Manages the staffing process to maintain positive relationships with staffing partners. Plans and administers corporate events, employee orientation, Safety Program and employee engagement activities. Partners with supervisors and employees by providing full generalist support. Preferred candidates should be solution focused with the ability to proactively commute project status, issues and risks to leadership.
Major Responsibilities
• Partners with internal customer groups to ensure coordination of HR programs and processes within a specific business function or segment of the company.
• Implements programs and policies that drive employee engagement and performance.
• Serves as a trusted advisor for managers in employee relations, training and development of their teams.
• Administers compensation programs, salary planning, and job evaluation.
• Ensures personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations; ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Works under the direction of a Director or Manager with discretion to make recommendations and employment decisions in the primary area of support and to properly enforce policy.
Minimum Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related field.
• Five years of experience in Human Resources or 8 years related experience in the Human Resources function within a similar working environment.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate with all layers of the organization will be key success in this role.
• Experience implementing Human Resource processes and programs
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software
• Experience recruiting hourly manufacturing employees in a seasonal environment and/or experience recruiting professional and technical employees;
• Proven track record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities
• Demonstrated skills in problem solving and conflict resolution; Prior experience in fast paced, growth-oriented company
• HRIS experience.
Preferred Job Requirements
• Working knowledge of Workday
• Experience working through organizational change with project management abilities
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
